Experience Started...

My career in IT began in 1999, when I took my first steps in the profession as an Oracle Designer. Through the Oracle University training program, I developed further into an Oracle Developer/Designer, with a clear focus on building Oracle Forms and Reports. During this period, I discovered how much I enjoyed translating complex challenges into working, reliable solutions.

Around the year 2000, the IT market in the Netherlands changed dramatically due to the millennium projects, and demand for IT professionals declined sharply. This temporarily led me down a different path: for several years I worked as a Station Manager at a Texaco petrol station. Although this was a completely different environment, it proved to be a valuable period. I learned what it means to take responsibility, lead people, and work together as a team under daily operational pressure.

When the IT market recovered, I returned to IT, this time as a software tester. This marked the beginning of a new phase in my career, in which my interest in software quality and testing deepened and broadened.

Now, 26 years later, I look back on a career in which I have built broad and deep expertise in software testing through years of hands-on experience. I have worked for organizations such as Atos Origin and Ordina (now Sopra Steria) and have been involved in virtually all aspects of the testing profession. Quality, reliability, and continuous improvement have always been the common thread in my work.

MaatInICT B.V.

After years of contracting (detachering) and working for the Dutch Police, I founded MaatInICT B.V. in 2024. As a software test automation engineer, I specialize in building tests for One Identity suites using Robot Framework and creating complex environments for test frameworks.

Robot Framework has become my tool of choice and trusted companion in testing and automation. I strongly believe in its capabilities and use it as the foundation for delivering high-quality test solutions to my clients.

As an AI-literate professional, I have recently expanded my skill set as an AI Designer. Using AI tools, I now design and build websites, macOS applications, and mobile games for both iOS and Android. The code is developed with AI, while I take the creative lead on design, user experience, and visual identity. This combination of technical background and creative design work enables me to rapidly turn ideas into working products.
